The two words Lekh Lekha are spelled alike in Hebrew but have opposite meanings. Originally understood as an idiom meaning "go forth", it actually means go into yourself as you go forth, thus defining the two directions of the spiritual journey. The viewer thus sees her/himself in the mirror fragments within the face shaped by a date palm branch.
