Eve Breaks Out of the Garden Womb
חווה מגיחה מרחם הגן

Mixed media, 2005

The cracked pot is the garden womb from which Eve, after consulting with the serpent, has decided to leave. Adam and Eve know it is time to leave the garden and be born into time/history. But they don't want to offend the Big Guy, so the wily serpent helps engineer the expulsion so it will look like His idea. (Credits to cartoon "Sylvia" by Nicole Hollander Daily Californian, October 16, 1985) Etrogim and a single pomegranate symbolize the fruit of the womb.
